Naturally warm, strong and soft

Densely Woven

Tightly woven for a rich, solid feel

Underfloor Heating

Cosy rug, warm floor. Best of both

Round wool rug – Leone Green instantly adds depth, tranquillity and character to a room. The deep green hue feels natural and refined, giving this green rug a rich, tranquil appearance. Thanks to the subtly mottled finish, the surface never looks flat or too dark. It is precisely these soft colour nuances that give this mottled rug more depth, allowing it to beautifully reflect light and keep the colour vibrant throughout the day. The round shape softens straight lines in the interior and creates a friendlier, more fluid whole.

You can feel the quality in the construction. This round wool rug is hand-tufted from 100% wool and has a compact pile height of 9 mm. As a result, the low-pile rug feels firm, soft and comfortable, with a surface that retains its neat appearance. Wool is naturally insulating and breathable, making this wool rug pleasant in every season. The cotton backing helps the rug retain its shape, even with daily use.

As a mottled rug, Leone Green looks wonderful in the living room or bedroom, particularly in a Scandinavian, Japandi or modern interior style.

Cleaning methods

Vacuum cleaner

You can vacuum the rug with the bristles tucked in. To protect the delicate fibers, we advise against using vacuum cleaners (stick vacuums/robot vacuums), and for flat-woven rugs, to vacuum in the direction of the weave.

Wool

Sheep's wool is the basis of this rug, and owes its dirt and moisture repellent properties to lanolin, the wool's own natural grease, which also insulates against the cold and muffles sound better than a hard floor. In the first few weeks the fibre may shed slightly, a normal trait that settles down with regular vacuuming. Because wool rugs are often hand knotted or hand woven, small irregularities and slight size variations are normal.

Care

Vacuum twice a week with the brush retracted, this also reduces shedding on a new wool rug. Blot a spill immediately with a clean, slightly damp cloth without rubbing, so dirt does not work further into the fibre. Wool dries more slowly than other materials, so avoid getting it too wet. Shake the rug out outside occasionally for a deeper clean between vacuuming.

Your rug, made by hand

No two are the same

Small differences in the pattern come with handwork, and make each rug unique.

Row by row

A rug like this is built up by hand, one row at a time, by someone who has done it for years.

Made to stay

A handmade rug is built to be walked on for years, which is why these are the ones that get passed on.
