The Shaggy Rug – George White from Studio Clarice brings light, calm, and refinement to your interior. Its mottled white tone and plush 25 mm shaggy pile create a fresh and soft foundation in any space. This white rug is perfect for a Scandinavian interior or as a contrasting element in a darker setting.

The rug is made from 100% polypropylene (Heatset Frisé), known for its softness, resilience, and easy maintenance. The sturdy structure retains its shape even under heavy use. The mottled finish prevents a flat appearance and adds subtle layering to the surface.

Cleaning methods

Cleaning methods

Vacuum cleaner

You can vacuum the rug with the bristles tucked in. To protect the delicate fibers, we advise against using vacuum cleaners (stick vacuums/robot vacuums), and for flat-woven rugs, to vacuum in the direction of the weave.

Material

Material

Polypropylene

Polypropylene is a hard wearing synthetic fibre that repels moisture, so spills do not soak in quickly and are easy to blot away, even with intensive use. Because the dense fibre structure does not hold onto dust mites, the rug is also hypoallergenic, and with a fully synthetic backing it is suitable for outdoor use too. Machine weaving also gives a neat, even surface.

Care

Dirt barely works into the fibre, making this rug easier to maintain than a natural rug: vacuum regularly and blot a spill with a damp cloth. If suitable for outdoor use, rinse with a garden hose and leave to air dry. Store an outdoor rug rolled up over winter, not folded, to avoid sharp creases.

Your soft rug

Long, dense pile

Your feet sink in a little instead of landing on something flat.

Absorbs sound

A longer pile takes much of the sound of footsteps on a hard floor away.

Best where you go barefoot

Beside a bed, by the sofa, or in a corner you sit in.
