The Wool Abstract Rug – Jules Cream/Green is more than just a foundation for your interior; it’s a true work of art for your floor. This geometric rug, featuring bold blocks in contrasting colors, brings a modern and playful touch to any space – as if you’ve placed a painting right in the middle of your living room. The clean lines and the abstract interplay of color and form make this rug a real eye-catcher that instantly adds character to your home.

Made from high-quality wool, this rug feels both firm and soft underfoot. Wool naturally retains warmth and contributes to a comfortable indoor climate. The backing is made from recycled cotton, making this abstract rug not only stylish but also responsibly produced. With a thickness of 13 mm and a weight of 3.80 kg per m², it offers a luxurious, heavy quality that stays beautifully flat on the floor.

The rug is hand-tufted – a traditional technique where wool is carefully inserted into the base using a special tufting gun. This method ensures a sturdy foundation and a refined finish where every detail is crafted with care. Thanks to its low-pile structure, the rug looks sleek, feels comfortable, and is easy to maintain. The Jules collection perfectly combines craftsmanship, practicality, and artistic design.

Cleaning methods

Vacuum cleaner

You can vacuum the rug with the bristles tucked in. To protect the delicate fibers, we advise against using vacuum cleaners (stick vacuums/robot vacuums), and for flat-woven rugs, to vacuum in the direction of the weave.

Wool

Sheep's wool is the basis of this rug, and owes its dirt and moisture repellent properties to lanolin, the wool's own natural grease, which also insulates against the cold and muffles sound better than a hard floor. In the first few weeks the fibre may shed slightly, a normal trait that settles down with regular vacuuming. Because wool rugs are often hand knotted or hand woven, small irregularities and slight size variations are normal.

Care

Vacuum twice a week with the brush retracted, this also reduces shedding on a new wool rug. Blot a spill immediately with a clean, slightly damp cloth without rubbing, so dirt does not work further into the fibre. Wool dries more slowly than other materials, so avoid getting it too wet. Shake the rug out outside occasionally for a deeper clean between vacuuming.

Your rug, made by hand

No two are the same

Small differences in the pattern come with handwork, and make each rug unique.

Row by row

A rug like this is built up by hand, one row at a time, by someone who has done it for years.

Made to stay

A handmade rug is built to be walked on for years, which is why these are the ones that get passed on.
